The Start

National Pasta is a proudly Canadian company that offers authentic Italian pastas, sauces, and other traditional Italian products. Founded in Cambridge, Ontario in 1995 by Mauro Pennachioli, National Pasta was founded with one pasta machine and one purpose, to create high-quality pasta made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients for families to enjoy together. Today, National Pasta still holds true to this vision, operating with stores throughout Ontario to best serve our valued customers. In addition, we have built strong wholesale relationships with many restaurants, grocery stores, and food distributors nationwide.


Like the ingredients we choose, each member of our staff has been hand-picked for the unique contribution they bring to the National Pasta team. Our creation and distribution staff come with years of cross-industry experience which include backgrounds in the manufacturing and restaurant industries. Their collective contribution is the perfect recipe for a proficient team who are dedicated to their craft.
National Pasta’s reputation for delivering delicious and consistent products is in great part due to the care of our Red Seal Chef, Adam Di Sapio. Under Adam’s scrupulous leadership, our staff is held to the same high standards and expectations we have for our products.
